Becoming a superachiever is more of who you become by pursuing your greatness in all walks of life.
One of my mentors once told me that you become the biggest person in the room when you make the smallest person feel like the biggest. To me, this is becoming the ultimate super achiever.
I have five principles to help you become the superachiever of your life.
To the superachiever, it doesn’t matter where you are if you know where you are going. Your current or past circumstances are not to define you but rather to help you get better.
- DISREGARD THE OPINIONS OF OTHERS
You have to own your dream and your vision and not let others invade the possibility of you becoming a superachiever. There are two types of opinions – those that come from experts, and these become our coaches. And those opinions that come from the novice and those are the opinions we must ignore. As the superachiever of your life, you need to be aware of the views that support or detour your vision.
- MAINTAIN THE STUDENT MINDSET
Every day creates an opportunity for us to learn and get better. Two of my favorite questions concerning a setback are: What can I learn here? And How is this helping me?
- REFUSE TO QUIT
When you own your dream and vision, and there are passion and purpose behind it, there is never a right time to quit. Remember, when you feel like quitting is generally the time in your pursuit when you are the closest to your goal.
- LIVE A LIFE OF NO REGRETS
Superachievers do not regret their setbacks, failures, disappointments, and shortcomings; they realize that all of those circumstances were from them to learn from to become who they are today. To regret is not to learn and get better.
If you are ready to become the superachiever of your life:
Create a vision, disregard others’ opinions, maintain the student mindset, refuse to quit, and live a life of no regrets.
