The First Doctor in the Family

This past week, I was in Miami—not for business or training, but for something much bigger.
I was there to celebrate my daughter earning her MD from the University of Miami.
Let me tell you, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. Watching her walk that stage, knowing what she’s overcome, the years of sacrifice, discipline, and commitment… it was emotional.
She’s the first doctor in our family.
And I couldn’t stop thinking about what that means—not just for her, but for the next generation. The doors it opens. The example it sets.
This week wasn’t about hustle. It wasn’t about strategy or performance.
It was about presence.
Taking it all in. Living in the moment.
Letting pride swell in the best way possible.
We spend a lot of time chasing goals—but don’t forget to feel them when you arrive.
I don’t have a list of training takeaways this time… but I will leave you with this:
🧠 Sometimes the best training is watching someone you love win.
It’s fuel. It’s fire. It’s a reminder of what’s possible.
Wherever you are this week, take a minute to celebrate someone in your circle. Their win is your win, too.
